Lab Systems Administrator

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a Lab Systems Administrator to join our client in Beaverton, OR.

Job Responsibilities:
- Lab Systems Administrator will manage lab infrastructure, including Linux and Windows Servers, Storage Servers, IP Networking devices, power monitoring, infrastructure telemetry and monitoring.
- Lab Systems Administrator will assist with server hardware, firmware, OS, and applications to develop optimal configurations and installation processes as needed.
- Lab Systems Administrator will install/maintain/tune Linux & Microsoft enterprise applications in the lab environment
- Lab Systems Administrator will assist with Lab procurement processes including placing and tracking orders
- Additional duties include: maintaining a journal of configurations and processes that would enable others to replicate your work, assisting with training solutions team members on lab infrastructure usage & capabilities

Job Qualifications:
- BS in CS, EE, or related subject matter AND strong Linux and Windows System administration background
- Solid Scripting experience with: Python/Perl/Bash/TCL and other languages
- Seven (7) plus years of experience installing & configuring Microsoft Server operating systems & drivers
- Seven (7) plus years of experience installing & configuring Linux (Redhat, CentOS, Fedora, Ubuntu, Suse)
- Seven (7) plus years of experience IP Networking (network protocols, troubleshooting, etc.)

Preferred Job Skills/Experience/Knowledge:
- Good understanding of PC and/or Server architecture
- Solid understanding of IPMI, SNMP and similar manageability technologies
- Experience Microsoft and Linux datacenter applications (Mail, Database, Web, etc.)
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, KVM, QEMU, etc.)
- Experience assembling server hardware to bring up new sever/Workstation systems
- Experience with Flash Programmers, network and SMBus Protocol Analyzers.
