About the Role and Responsibilities

Location: Beaverton, OR

About the Role:

The person that takes this role will be working within McAfee Labs to deliver a range of Anti-Malware products, tools and content. This is a unique opportunity to influence and contribute to a critical part of the business that protects our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

-
Black box, grey box, compatibility and system level testing.

-
Functional, load, performance, and regression testing.

-
Heavy software security testing including threat testing, antivirus, antimalware, and rootkits.

-
Kernel level testing.

-
Create test plans, test designs, test data, test scripts, execute test suites, report and prioritize bugs, prioritize test cases, and follow up issues with software development team.

-
Create and execute automated test suites/cases.

-
Strong focus in agile development/testing practices, test driven development, and risk based testing.

-
Hands on experience in setting up test labs and test infra structure.

-
Able to independently produce quality solutions on problems of high complexity

-
Receives general input from management and translates this direction into appropriate operational items to drive projects towards completion. Foresees future direction and aligns current activities in alignments with this direction. Takes responsibility for updating own skills and technical growth.

Qualifications

Required Experience/Skills & Education:

-

3 to 5 years of QA/Software testing experience over the full product lifecycle.

-
Proven experience and strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, test methodologies- Waterfall, V Model, and Agile.

-
Strong experience in testing applications on Windows platform.

-
Experience writing test automation code in C#.

-
Experiencing with running test automation suite and evaluate results.

-
Good understanding of source control, code compilation, and code deployment.

-
Experience in computer security industry and technologies.

-
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and the ability to collaborate with internal and external parties including QA, Support, Development Engineers and Customers.

-
Experience with requirements analysis, requirements gathering, change requests, impact and risk analysis, defect management, schedule estimates, and meeting release deadlines and milestones.

Experience with testing large enterprise quality multi user systems.

Working Knowledge on VMware Images

Desirable

Experience with writing test automation code

Experience of Perl/Python/C/C++ programming.

Experience working with offshore teams.

Some certification in software testing.

Kernel mode knowledge with good understanding of Virtual Memory Management and Windows Drivers

Education: Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
