The Information Platform and Experiences (IPE) group is responsible for delivering many of the most advance capabilities such as speech, geospatial, personalization, privacy management, intent, conversational understanding, NUI, and augmented reality to our 1st party partners like Windows, Phone, Office, Skype, Azure and Xbox as well as to 3rd party developers.

The designers in our studio, IPE-Design, have a diverse background which includes; photography, game design, film, 3D modeling, industrial design, speech and language design, graphic design, interaction design, and user research. We support and encourage diverse ideas and perspectives.

Our goal is to envision how IPE capabilities can be combined or refined into delightful experiences. Each day is challenging, exciting and rewarding.

We are looking for someone who can design outstanding geospatial experiences, collaborate with designers and engineers, communicate solutions and evangelize them to partners and clients. You will need to be hands on with a passion for creation and storytelling. You'll be instrumental in helping define the end user experience that will power the services and the devices of the future. Highly proficient in interactive media design, prototyping, graphic design, branding, information architecture, data visualization and industrial design with human factors knowledge
Strong communicator with the skills necessary to effectively present and negotiate in relation to business goals.
Confident driving design activities and deliverables throughout the development cycle
Outstanding problem-solver with the ability to context shift frequently
Collaborator and outstanding teammate
Fearless and positive

Qualifications:
8+ years industry experience
4+ years design or project leadership (management not required)
Geospatial or map domain knowledge
Familiarity with industry standards/trends. BA/BFA in design or related field is preferred.
