Position Description

Position Overview:

This position is a member of the GIS Account Team, which provides relationship management and technical consulting for internal customers with infrastructure needs. The skillset is similar to that of a vendor sales engineer. You would engage with customers, along with the Account Manager, and help define and size infrastructure solutions that meet customer business needs.

Responsibilities:

Relationship management

Technical consulting (Windows, Linux, Networking, SAN, DB, Data Center)

Translation of business requirements into technical requirements

Definition of business value and measurements

Selling of infrastructure services into customer base

Work with Product Management on Product Roadmap for new and existing services

Maintain a good working relationship with SMEs across the infrastructure operations teams
Travel - up to 20%

Qualifications:

Previous position in sales engineering or consulting

Extensive technical knowledge across multiple infrastructure areas (man areas SQL and Linux)

Strong networking, DB or SAN knowledge a plus

Familiarity with both Windows and Linux server deployments

Background in Cloud or Virtualization

Work Experience and Education Guidelines:

Demonstrable expereince in consulting or sales engineering

A proven operational background in networking, systems, storage or database
