Position Description:

To be classified into this level, the employee's primary responsibility must be to ensure that the IT Group supports its businesses by designing system, application and integration architecture to meet objectives for component-based business processing needs.

Define requirements, design and develop front/Back End architecture to support IT Group customers, including management of the architecture team.
Consult with senior business and technology management.
Consult with Business Analysts and users to define business requirements and objectives.
Evaluate development alternatives for a component-based approach.
Supervise the technical design staff in prototyping technical solutions to business needs.
Coordinate the development and maintenance of components with the component development team (subcontractor).
Research new technologies and make recommendations with respect to their applicability or integration with existing application architecture.
Manage internal and external technical design staff.

Position Requirements
Education:
A related Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Experience:
8 years technical experience including experience in systems development with 4 years in design of ERP, Package solutions and related technologies
Ability to interface with executive branches of leadership
Ability to arbitrate conflicting resource priorities
Capable of leading people at multiple locations
Ability to evaluate and analyze new products and impacts on current environments
Knowledge of Object Oriented Analysis, distributed computing, multi-tier system, component base development technology, System Development Life Cycle (SDLC), host integration
Capable of performing mentoring to and development of subordinate leaders
Communication skills (written, oral, presentation)
Possess problem and change management abilities
Understanding of practical implementation
Experience in building large organizations and navigating within large company dynamics
Methodology background in Case tool, data and event modelling
Customer service background
Experience in Quality Managements
