- 7+ experience with technical leadership preferably in a Pharmaceutical environment.
- 3+ years experience with Pega BPM design, development and support
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent

Scope:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

- Provide technical leadership and direction as it relates to architecture, design and implementation of Pega applications
- Provide maintenance and support for Pega applications during deployment, upgrade and any changes to other enterprise activities that impact related infrastructure
- Proactively Monitors and tunes the system to achieve optimum performance levels
- Oversee, recommend and implement appropriate solutions and enhancements to ensure an improvement in system reliability and performance
- Create SDLC documentation and ensure alignment to overall SDLC and Change Management processes
- Identifies existing and potential issues and design matters in overall system and solution architecture; implements solutions to ensure that best practices and processes are followed and enhanced.
- Address other IT tasks as assigned by supervisor
- Monitors and performs level 3 troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose complex system problems
- Contribute to the development of standards and operating procedures for the application environments and the development of new service offerings to ensure that the user community receives the highest levels of support.

Position
Skills/Knowledge Required:

- BS/MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- 3 or more years of intensive experience with Pega design and development - Pega PRPC 5.x, Pega CPM Framework,
- Mid level familiarity (2-3 years) with Java/J2EE, JSP, Servlets, JavaScript, VBScript, PL/SQL, SOAP/Axis, LDAP
- Strong analytical, communication, technical teamwork and interpersonal skills are mandatory.
- Ability to research and recommend technical designs and architectures to support requirements.
- Work on various IT and business projects to meet technical needs of the customers.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and general development experience
- Ability to effectively interface with clients and the technical team.
- Must be client service-driven with excellent communication, relationship management and analytical skills
- Ability to work and contribute in a team environment.
- Ability to perform tasks proactively with minimal supervision.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Experience with business analysis, project management, support and maintenance.

Knowledge of/experience with: Oracle, Unix, Linux, Windows
