Our continued growth has created an opportunity for a Java Web Developer Intermediate for our web applications development team within our Research Department. This position is responsible for creating technology based solutions by developing, implementing, and maintaining Internet, Intranet, and Client Server applications. Ideal candidate will have application development experience in Java/J2EE, SOA or Hibernate.
Required qualifications::
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS or equivalent experience
5+ years implementing current Java/J2EE technologies with an emphasis on web applications and development of web services
Demonstrated ability with the following J2EE and related technologies: Java, JSPs, JavaScript, Spring Framework, Struts Framework, JDBC, HTML, Servlets, CSS, Tag Libraries, SQL, XML
Five years experience in Object Oriented development using Java (JSP/Servlet, Java Beans, EJB) technologies
Experience with Spring-MVC
Experience with JSTL and Spring-MVC tag libraries
Experience with JavaScript and jQuery
Understanding of how to diagnose problems with the web page - layout (CSS, HTML), JavaScript.
Experience with working with services and integrating into client layer
Prefer browser based or Client Server development and support experience.
Prefer experience in full life cycle iterative development; requirements gathering, technical design, development, testing and implementation.
Preferred qualifications::
Visual Basic, Cache and Mumps.
Oracle (PL/SQL, Stored Packages/Procedures development, SQL) or Microsoft SQL Server.
