Responsibilities

As a member of our advanced technical solutions team you will work closely with operations, security, and development teams to create and maintain effective daily operations and exemplary customer service to the clients and candidates. As a Network Engineer, you will be a crucial part of the team. You will maintain the infrastructure that supplies learning technology to millions of students worldwide. You will design, test and implement systems using the latest network hardware and software. You will monitor and tune everything from PKI and VPN systems, to firewalls and load balancers. You will help design and maintain connectivity to various global offices and third party entities. Additionally, you will design and implement state of the art monitoring and response systems to keep all of your equipment operating at the highest level. When you are not actively working on the existing systems you are learning about the next generation of technologies; building and testing the systems of the future. Install, configure, troubleshoot, operate and maintain the following equipment and technologies:
- Cisco ASA firewalls and VPN appliances is required
- Cisco load balancers including CSS
- Checkpoint firewalls and management consoles is required
- F5 LTM and GTM application load balancers
- Thales hardware security modules
- Microsoft PKI systems including ADCS and FIM
- Cisco Catalyst and Nexus network switches;
- Cisco Routers running IOS, IOS-XE, and IOS-XR software.
- Cisco UCS Servers and DCM
- Solarwinds Orion, syslog and Cattools monitoring and alerting systems
- IpMonitor, Cacti, MRTG, and GFI NSM monitoring systems
- GFI Languard, EventsManager, OSSEC and Nessus auditing systems
- Support production application and development teams as SME on routing, switching, load balancing, and TCP/IP
- Support application teams with troubleshooting custom web based applications
- Participate in an on-call rotation to support 24/7/365 data center operations
- Must be able to lift 75lbs for equipment installs
- Must be willing to travel on occasion for installs or support
- All other duties assigned

Qualifications
- 3 years + of IT experience in various application delivery environments
- CCNP/CCIE or equivalent level network experience with Cisco routers, Catalyst and Nexus switches.

High level experience with Load Balancing on various platforms including Cisco CSS/CSM and F5 LTM
- High level routing and switching experience with Cisco Catalyst and Nexus
- High level experience with PKI and VPN protocols including TLS and IPSec
- High level security experience with Cisco and Checkpoint firewalls
- High level experience with networking hardware
- High level TCP/IP knowledge
- High level packet level troubleshooting capabilities
- High level experience decoding packet captures
- High level Scripting experience with shell/python/perl or other Scripting tool.
- Mid-level experience with web applications
- Good Familiarity with SNMP
- Extensive experience in high-uptime environments
- Strong leadership skills
- Excellent written and oral communication ability
