As a Business Analyst in the Strategic and Business Planning group, you will be responsible for overseeing the alignment and optimization of business processes. Working collaboratively with owners of multiple strategic and executive planning processes and the supporting functional areas and analytics teams. You will look to establish business processes to help assess, align and optimize these processes across the fiscal year.

Your responsibilities will also include driving specific processes owned by the Business Planning team including, but not limited to; the annual business planning process, quarterly Sales and Business Unit business reviews and help align strategic direction within the quarterly S&OP Integrated Business Planning process.

Responsibility 1: Lead and Manage Successful Projects and Project Teams

- Work with sponsors and stakeholders to clearly define the problem to be solved, measurements to determine program/project progress/success, timelines for milestones and completion, and resources to be used
- Work with sponsors and stakeholders to ensure that all projects are aligned to the Business Planning areas of focus and/or Micron Strategic Objectives
- Define data driven, clear and concise metrics that accurately track the project progress towards the determined goal
- Provide timely periodic updates and visibility of project status
- Deliver projects within the timeline that has been formally approved
- Provide oversight and coordination among other area programs and projects to ensure alignment of focus as well as eliminate duplication of efforts
- Provide recognition for progress and team member contribution
- Develop resource management plan and collaborate with project leadership to resolve resource constraints
- Identify and resolve project issues and conflicts
- Communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders
- Ensure the project status is accurate and up to date
- Develop risk management plan and ensure risks have mitigation or contingency plans

Responsibility 2: Support Strategic and Integrated Business Planning Processes

- Provide governance to the overall integrated business planning process and ensure that all stakeholders have input and understand expectations
- Interface with Executives, Directors and other key individuals within each organizations
- Facilitate and drive cross functional discussions at various levels of the company that involve potential changes or alignment within the integrated business planning process and strategic direction
- Document and maintain process definition
- Build and implement standard presentation templates
- Coordinate stakeholder alignment around assumptions
- Support integration of strategic options process within integrated business planning process
- Manage and update corporate calendar
- Compile and deliver the final annual business plan to executives

Responsibility 3: Develop, Measure and Optimize Business Processes

- Support the measurement of business processes and performance against the business plan
- Develop business rules and processes that drive consistent interpretation of performance
- Facilitate business performance update processes
- Align cross-functional business process management approaches
- Evaluate effectiveness of executing processes and lessons learned
- Ensure valuable information is available to the Executive Team
- Perform business plan proposal analysis and recommendations

Responsibility 4: Provide Expertise and Consultation

- Conduct internal and external research to identify benchmarks
- Respond to customer questions and requests
- Act as a consultant or liaison to customers
- Investigate issues raised by customers

Education

Required

B.S./B.A. in Business or Engineering or similar

Experience

Required

- Analytics and metrics process and system development
- Business and financial analysis

Desired

Experience and knowledge in the following areas:

- Financial planning and forecasting
- Business Planning
- Sales and Operations Planning
- APO experience

Qualifications:

Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong system skills (Micron systems and reporting tools, Microsoft Office Suite applications), advanced data analytics skills, consensus building/collaboration capabilities, ability to work independently or with a cross-functional team.

- Working knowledge of business productivity software
- Proven ability to develop metrics to reach business outcomes and analyze data
- Ability to work across groups and geographies to achieve mutual success
- Extensive experience in one of the following or multiple data and analytics environments
- COGNOS, TM1, BizObjects, Performance Point, Analysis Services
