As a BI Analyst, you will be responsible for the analysis, requirements gathering and participating in the modeling of data marts as well as the development, testing and support for BI applications. You will be required to: partner with customers to develop and maintain a good understanding of business objectives, business questions, and services that need to be supported; assist BI Engineers and DBAs in designing and testing of data marts; provide support and mentoring in the use and development of analytical and reporting tools used in the departments; provide access to data by developing OLAP cubes, reports, or database views; deliver solutions and follow up with the customer to ensure the solution meets their needs; ensure adherence to best practices, policies and processes out lined by the IS department; communicate plans and timely status to the customer.
Successful Candidates for this position will have:
- BS Degree in CIS or CS, or equivalent experience
- Three to Five years analyzing business objectives, processes and data or performing similar job duties.
- A working knowledge of data warehousing and reporting tools
- Experience with Microsoft BI Suite (including Microsoft Reporting Services, Microsoft Analysis Services, ProClarity, Performance Point, Microsoft Integration Services) SAP Business Warehouse, Cognos BI suite and/or Cognos EP suite, is preferred.
- Strong problem solving skills, strong verbal and written communication, as well teamwork and consensus building skills.
Education:
A Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business or equivalent related experience
