Micron Corporate Software Engineers work in a fast-paced, high-impact, priority-driven environment. We focus on designing, developing, testing, troubleshooting, and optimizing many different domains, software applications, and infrastructure components essential for semiconductor manufacturing. These applications, components, and systems can vary from data collections software, tracking applications, packaging and deployment systems, development libraries, as well as some third-party systems. We are a "matrixed" organization, focused on the infrastructural and manufacturing needs that drive our core NAND, DRAM, and NOR production, our growing SSDs (Solid Sate Drives), and our ever-emerging, innovative technologies like PCMs (Phase Change Memory), and HMCs (Hybrid Memory Cube).

As a Micron Corporate Software Engineer Intern, you will deliver real solutions with real world wide impact to move our exciting fast paced business forward. Your personal drive, enthusiasm, and ability can and will enable you to create and deliver amazing results here at Micron. You will have a personal mentor tasked with doing whatever possible to support your efforts for success. We also provide you and other interns with fun and interesting experiences including interaction with executives, cutting edge technological roadmaps, and all of the awesome offerings Boise has where you can white water raft, hike, camp, fish, enjoy the clean and exciting down town environment, etc.

Qualifications:

Successful candidates for this position will have:

- Debugging and troubleshooting skills, experience, history, examples with software support and problem solving preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication, teamwork, and consensus building skills.
- Additional beneficial skills for the position would include: SQL scripting
- Experience/Class work in one or more of the following technologies would be preferred: C/C++, C#, Perl, MS SQL Server, and Oracle PL/SQL

Education:

Students seeking a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business or equivalent related experience.

This internship will primarily span the summer months in 2014.
