As the North American Workforce Development Manager at Micron Technology, Inc. you will have responsibility for delivering and optimizing the learning and development needs for leaders and team members across North America. Through collaboration, this role will drive consistency and alignment to global initiatives and priorities throughout the NA region. As a regional leader, you will partner with other leaders across the Workforce Development community to determine direction, priorities and resources.
You will directly supervise a staff of workforce development specialists and will be responsible for performance management, development, and day-to-day leadership of those team members. You will also lead and partner, through dotted line relationships, with other WD teams across the region.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Accountable and responsible for leading the workforce development function for the North American Region
- Providing leadership to team to include hiring, on-boarding, development and direction of WD resources
- Distributing workload across the WD team to ensure appropriate service delivery
- Determining resource requirements needed to fulfill learning and development needs for the region
- Participation and leadership on global learning initiatives
- Partnership with Stakeholders
- Collaborate with stakeholders on workforce development needs
- Collaborate with regional and global HR partners to develop, recommend, and implement continuous improvement and learning interventions for the North America region
- Partner with global L&D leaders to drive continuous improvement and global priorities for the function.
- Build strong customer relationships and knowledge of the business in order to deliver relevant learning interventions tied to business results
- Ensure customer groups receive appropriate level of support, communication, and feedback
- Provide Subject Matter Expertise
- Maintain up to date knowledge of Adult Learning and Workforce Development best practices and trends
- Ensure and promote adherence to corporate compliance, legal and regulatory standards
- Communicate to the regional and global teams on priorities, process improvements and best practices
- Engaging in creative problem solving and fostering an environment for team members to do the same
- Use data and information to managing staff performance, customer expectations and ongoing WD strategies
Successful candidates for this position will have:
- Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience
- Minimum 3 years learning and development experience
- Instructional Design expertise
- Knowledgeable in organizational effectiveness and workforce development techniques
- Experience managing dotted line and indirect teams
- Proven ability to partner with business leaders and peers
Education:
Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
