As a Wireless Solutions Group (WSG) Product Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc. focused on mixed Technology end products, you will be responsible to prepare for new products and coordinate resources, testing, and analysis over the lifecycle of the part. You will create and maintain product documentation, ensure necessary resources, analyze product data and respond to product line issues. In this role, you will work with various Engineering and Manufacturing groups to prioritize work and ensure necessary actions are taken to meet specific product requirements. You will also work with Marketing and Planning to ensure silicon and product availability, and with Quality Assurance to ensure product reliability.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Coordinate Preparation for new products
- Work with Manufacturing teams to ensure resources are available (substrates, package part trays, tester handler kits, etc.)
- Work with Marketing, Planning, and Silicon PE to ensure silicon availability
- Work with Test and Silicon PE's to ensure program availability for specific products
- Ensure that Product Meets Expectations
- Drive root cause analysis for failures
- Drive Implementation of fixes for fails in your product line
- Work with Quality Assurance (QA) Teams on customer returns to establish root cause and corrective action
- Work with QA to ensure reliability
- Monitor yields and verify that yields meet projections
- Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Marketing
- Create and deliver presentations
- Publish product updates
- Support customer sample preparation
- Inform Planning and Marketing on product availability issues
- Coordinate and facilitate meetings (status updates, Manufacturing teams, etc.)
- Keep LPI updated (the Long-Term Planning Information system)
- Act as Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for Design ID
- Prioritize work with other groups
- Provide Technical Expertise
- Assist with data interpretation
- Act as product-specific point of contact
- Attend technical seminars
Successful candidates for this position will have:
- A working knowledge of UNIX/Linux and Windows operating environments.
- Experience using programming languages such as C/C++ and Perl (preferred but not required).
- Detail oriented and excellent organizational skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- The ability to work in a team environment.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Good Presentation skills to include PowerPoint & Technical Presentations experience and being comfortable speaking in front of an audience.
- Self-motivation and enthusiasm.
Education:
Bachelors Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
