Micron Technology's Client Systems team is focused on developing leading-edge System-on-Chip (SoC) designs, incorporating advanced processor, memory, and interface IP to create market-disruptive computing solutions. As Business Development Manager for this team, you will be responsible for market analysis, product definition, product roadmaps, and market and customer strategies. You will drive business and product opportunities with customers and partners, evaluating these opportunities to ensure the profitability of the Client Systems Business. In this position you will work closely with R&D, sales, marketing and the business management team.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Working with management and internal partners to help set a winning business/market strategy for the Client Systems team, aligning with the Busines Unit and Micron corporate strategy.
- Market analysis to determine industry trends and the best opportunities for Micron to create high-value SOC+memory solutions in the computing, communications, and Embedded systems markets.
- Working with internal partners to leverage Micron's inherent advantage in volatile and non-volatile memory to help define products with disruptive levels of performance, power, integration, and/or cost, matching technology capabilities with identified market opportunities.
- Developing the long term product and customer strategies for the Client Systems team.
- Working with R&D, Sales, management and customers to create product definitions and roadmaps for high-value, differentiated solutions that cover significant market segments.
- Identifying, establishing and maintaining strategic customer relationships that provide key enablers for winning targeted business.
- Developing financial models to guide product and customer decisions, ensuring the profitability of Micron's Client Systems business and alignment with Micron's business objectives.
- Developing business cases and driving decisions for new business and product opportunities, driving selected programs with customers and partners.
- Driving business planning for product volumes and pricing, incorporating competitive intelligence pertaining to target markets.
- Aligning the technical requirements of new opportunities with technical marketing, program management and R&D.
- Developing market introduction strategies and respective collateral for internal and external use.
- Driving design-ins for new products in alignment with Field Application Engineering and New Product Introduction.
- Managing Product Requirement Documents for new products.
Successful candidates for this position will have:
- A minimum of 7 years experience in a combination of product development, marketing, sales or business development in the Semiconductor or related industry.
- Proven track record of business and new product development.
- Experience in product positioning, competitive assessment, pricing and financial analysis required.
- An understanding of the global industry network (enablers, OEMs, ODS, sales channels).
- The ability to condense technical concepts into marketable, customer-consumable benefits.
- Experience establishing and maintaining working relationships with key industry customers, partners and suppliers.
- A strong demonstrated commitment to teamwork and working with internal and external customers.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to a wide range of audiences in verbal and written form.
- Excellent people and management skills to interact with colleagues, cross-functional teams and customers.
- An outgoing, energetic personality.
- The willingness to travel when necessary (approximately 30%).
Education:
- MS or BS in Electrical, Computer Engineering or Computer Science is required.
- BA/MBA in business or marketing a plus.
