The Opportunity:

The Web Development role will have the opportunity to work on multiple company branded enterprise websites that strive to be as engaging and easy to use for the Customer as possible. The ideal candidate will have thorough knowledge of HTML/CSS, mobile and responsive design techniques, and proficiency with JavaScript/DOM and JavaScript frameworks. Working in a collaborative environment this role will be striving to develop Front End technologies that produce engaging interactive digital experiences.

The web developer will take direction from managers, tech leads, UX designers, and senior Interactive Developers while communicating issues, providing estimates and helping to provide creative solutions to technical issues. Candidate will take the initiative to learn new/emerging technologies and prove a willingness to strive to expand on his/her skill set.

Ideal candidate will be expected to work with flexibility in small or large teams and provide code consistent with the standards set by technical leads. Candidates should be enthusiastic about programming and submitted code will be clean and organized. Candidates should possess effective written and verbal communication skills.

Requirements:
5-7 years of hands-on web development experience
BS or MS in computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
A strong level of technical expertise with the following: xhtml, HTML 5, css3, AJAX, jQuery, jQueryUI, jQuery Mobile, Javascript Libraries, JSON, XML, UI design techniques, web/mobile design techniques, etc.
Interpreting graphic visual or interaction designs in HTML, CSS and Javascript.
Experience in creating responsive solutions
Ability to prototype solutions during requirement gather phases
Creating visually appealing web pages or interfaces.
Creating, editing or modifying templates for a CMS or web development framework.
Programming interaction with JavaScript and/or a library such as jQuery, Backbone.js, knockout.js, Twitter bootstrap.
Testing cross-browser, cross-platform, and/or cross-device compatibility for inconsistencies.
Testing for compliance to specified standards such as accessibility standards in the clients region or domain.
Conducting observational user testing, or reviewing designs against usability heuristics.
Track record of driving innovation through technology or process
Outstanding record of achievement, ambition, and drive
Work closely with Business Analysts, Developers, QA, Security, UX/UI design teams, and Project Managers to ensure development processes, performance and commitments meet or exceed internal and external requirements.
Optional: Exposure to Agile development methodologies like SCRUM or KANBAN
