We at Businesstaff have been retained by a client in the Greater Denver Area in search of a Sr. Software Engineer - Website. This position is r esponsible for the development, testing, and maintenance of an enterprise Intranet-based element management system used to configure, provision, monitor, and troubleshoot the companies radio networks. Application will be based on the Microsoft .NET platform.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design, develop, test, document, and maintain the website for an enterprise Intranet-based element management system.
  • Collaborate with the development team, management, and customers to refine application design and implementation.
  • Unit test and document code consistently.
  • Act as a technical resource for internal and external customers.
  • Stay abreast of current trends, Support business development as required.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 5 years developing C#/.NET applications professionally or equivalent combination of education and experience that can demonstrate skills required.
  • Expert knowledge of web interface design and development.
  • Good knowledge of security and encryption.
  • ASP.NET (MVC preferred).
  • Visual Studio 2010/.NET 4.0 experience.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to find innovative solutions to complex problems, Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
  • BS/BA in Computer Science or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Experience using Agile software development methodologies.
  • Microsoft SQL Server (including ORMs such as LINQ to SQL, Entity Framework, or (Hibernate).
  • Non-Microsoft web development experience.
  • Experience with localization and globalization of software.
  • Serial and TCP/IP communication protocols.
  • Understanding of basic radio communication principles.
  • Experience in telecommunications industry is an advantage.
  • Portfolio of examples of websites designed and developed is an advantage.
