The Bing Imagery Technologies (BITs) group is looking for a motivated Software Development Engineer for the Aerial Imagery team. We are a cutting-edge team that builds large scale systems and computer vision algorithms for Bing Maps. We are using aerial imagery to not just create a seamless orthographic view on the web, but to also extract elevation information, perform land use classification, and create a 3-D experience.

You'll work with cutting-edge technology that helps builds the imagery that you see on Bing Maps. You should have strong passion for and a proven knowledge of design, coding, optimization, debugging, and software engineering tools (C/C++, C#). This position also requires the type of person willing to dive into 2D/3D image processing algorithms, even if you don't have previous experience in that area. You should be highly motivated, self-driven, and possess excellent technical problem solving skills. To be successful in this position you must demonstrate or quickly gain knowledge of computer vision and image processing algorithms and software engineering tools and have the passion to tackle challenging and unknown areas.

Skills & Requirements:
3+ years of commercial software development experience is required.
Experience with modern software engineering tools, structured programming languages (C/C++, C#)
BA/BS or MS degree in Computer Science, and or related discipline.
Proven CS fundamentals and experience working in large and complex software projects.
Experience with relational database design (SQL) a plus.
Experience in 2D/3D image processing algorithms a plus, mathematical non-linear optimization a plus.
