Position Description:

As a Sr. Data Analyst, the candidate will be part of a team responsible for the detailed analysis and design supporting financial and reference data management solutions for corporate functions such as corporate consolidations, regulatory filing, tax compliance, and financial planning and analysis. The Data Analyst will work with business analysts and technical staff to determine the data quality and remediation steps required to successfully source, map and transform data into target systems. Data sources include SAP transactional, warehouse and reporting systems, as well as relational databases and flat file inputs.
Work with clients and business analysts to understand data requirements
Assist with the creation of requirements documents and functional specifications
Establish data profiling plans to validate data sources against requirements
Profile and analyze data sources against profiling plans
Design and deliver data profiling result reports, both one-time and for ongoing quality controls
Participate in defining solutions for data quality issues
Create data transformation maps
Develop test cases to help ensure data delivery meets business requirements
Assist with the definition of business and technical terms and definitions
Help maintain Business Glossaries and Data Dictionaries

Position Requirements
5 + years proven experience providing data analysis and profiling services
3 + years using data profiling technology, preferable IBM Information Analyzer
2+ years of demonstrable experience providing data analysis expertise contributing towards Master and Reference data management solutions
Proven experience creating data transformation maps
Excellent SQL coding skills
Excellent MS Excel skills supporting data analysis; functions/macros; vlookup
Solid understanding of data warehouse concepts and ETL design
Experience in data integration with the IBM Information Workbench is desired
