Description
The Project Manager is responsible for enabling the success of custom installation and new store opening projects by utilizing project management skills and knowledge of the custom installation process to ensure projects are completed on time, on budget, meet quality standards and meet customer expectations. Projects can range from basic custom installation services to multi-phase, extended services. They can last from one week to 18 months.
The person in this role must be a highly skilled in the trade in addition to having the ability to work independently with a high level of autonomy. They must not only highly skilled in their discipline, they must also be able to include change management and training in their approach to building solutions. The project manager will be utilized to build tools and processes to improve the efficiency of Custom's operations by increasing turn around time, lowering costs, improving customer satisfaction, etc. This requires process skills as well as the ability to work cross-functionally with the installation teams, the salesperson, subcontractors and the customer.
The Project Manager may be brought in at the inception of a project, or may be brought in midway. In either case, the expectation will be that he or she can manage the project to successful completion. The Project Manager is responsible for each project from the bidding stage through final project completion.
Basic Qualifications:
HS Diploma/Equivalent or higher level of education
2+ years of custom installation experience
Preferred Qualifications:
2+ years project or team management experience
2+ years residential consumer electronics installation experience
CEDIA, ICIA or NICET Certifications
Low Voltage License
