Description:
The Studies, Analysis, & Assessments Lead will serve as a Subject Matter Expert in support of the overall Software Development and Lifecycle Management process. The Lead will apply principles, methods, and technical knowledge while providing evaluation and analysis of the applications and operational environments; performing high-level functional systems analysis, design, integration, documentation, and implementation advice on complex problems. The Lead will participate as needed in all phases of software development with emphasis on the planning, analysis, testing, integration, documentation, and presentation phases. He/She will perform requirements gathering, development and assessment of solutions and alternatives, tracking of metrics and performance, operations and maintenance planning, and quality assurance. The Lead will ensure the team is performing to the standards of the Software Development Processes (SDP) document, identified as a Government reference.
Qualifications
:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field. Master's Degree will be acceptable in lieu of 2+ years of on-the-job experience.
Knowledge of assigned product(s), company functions, service policies and procedures and excellent communication skills. Proficiency in computer applications, languages, technologies, requirements tracking tools, advanced set-up and configurations, trouble shooting, and system design, and/or capabilities are required for the position. The Lead will have the expertise and knowledge available to assist in pursing the appropriate CMMI Level or equivalent certification as determined by the organization. Understanding of the DISA STIGs. COTS and GOTS software and how they compare. Must have a certification in the current software development platform utilized to include, at minimum: SharePoint, Oracle Webcenter, and asp.net.
6+ years of related experience, preferably in software application and development realm, with 1+ years of managing a team of software developers and engineers. 4+ years of related experience, preferably in software application and development realm, with a Master's Degree.
Knowledge of the DoD and DoN application and portfolio management initiatives. Familiarity with Agile methodologies is a plus. Experience with proposal development and preparation is a plus. Experience with any of the following is a plus: Microsoft Access, HTML, SQL, ASP, Cold Fusion, XML, ASP.Net, JAVA, Crystal Reports and Visual Basic, Oracle, J2EE, JAVA, and Informatica. C+, JAVA, CSS, HTML, AJAX, and Front-End Design. PHP, Ruby, ColdFusion or other web application language is a plus. Dreamweaver, Eclipse, Visual Studio or other development environments is a plus.
