Description:
The Business System Analyst (Planning Systems) acts as the strategic and tactical focal point supporting the AFA for the analysis, development and/or deployment of IT tools and solutions that support AFA strategies and priorities. The Business System Analyst will provide both functional and technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, developing and implementing system solutions, processes, reports and procedures that meet user requirements. The position will plan, direct and complete analysis of business requirements and act as a liaison between AFA sponsors and internal or external IT resources. In addition, Business System Analyst will serve as a trainer for key systems.
Understand industry issues and trends, and present technical solutions that provide value to AFA
Formulate and define system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with a good understanding of business systems, industry requirements, and available IT solutions
Guide business customers through business case development for new applications/functionality, including cost/benefit analysis and risk/impact analysis
Analyze business strategy and user needs, document specifications, and translate business objectives into proper system requirement specifications
Coordinate the completion of tasks with both IT and AFA team members
Ensure that the needs of AFA are reflected in the IT Strategic Planning and Budget
Quantify business benefits to be delivered by the project or enhancement
Act as liaison between AFA and IT teams, with the ability to present technical information to a non-technical audience, and an ability to understand and interpret Business requirements.
Develop and deliver functional/system specifications and user-training documents.
Provide test plans, test cases, perform functional testing and assure proper user acceptance testing of completed projects
Provide new user training on supported applications as requested
Help business users in identifying data needs and develop reports
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree, preferably in Information Systems/Technology
At least 7 years experience in the apparel industry.
Minimum of 5years of business systems analyst experience.
Solid knowledge of Merchandising, Planning, Allocations and Inventory retail core concepts.
At least 5 years experience in using or supporting planning and allocation systems such as JDA Allocations and or RPAS.
Experience in MFP, Assortment Planning or other modules
Experience with planning, allocation, optimization, and PLM software
Experience in business process definition, requirements definition and development and support of integrated business applications.
Knowledge of SAP and Matrix One PLM
Must have team mentality and possess personality to work to diverse team members
