Java Developer
Stanley Associates (wholly owned subsidiary of CGI Federal) is looking for a Java Developer to work in our Monterey, CA location. The selected candidate will provide support for the Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC).
Duties include:
- Install, and manage development environments and modify Java and/or JavaScript code for widgets developed within the DMDC framework using existing business processes
- Develop, implement and manage web services for DMDC.
- Able to collaborate with teammates on developing solutions but also to work independently to implement them.
- Work closely with stakeholders to determine requirements, building and demonstrating functionality through prototyping and working with other team member to implement into larger solution.
- Developing and maintain stored procedures as well as designing and implementing series of analytical tools to help solve the customers ever changing requirements.
- Responsible for the design, implementation, and evolution of the network and supporting systems within DOD and DISA infrastructures.
- Provide expertise into DOD IA evaluations and authentication proposals for DMDC.
- Java web development is currently supported within DMDC on the Microsoft Windows XP platform.
-Supported Java Developer Kits range from 1.4.x to 1.5.x versions. Oracle's JDeveloper Integrated Development Environment is used to develop Java web applications. Concurrent Versioning System is used as the source code repository.
- Deployment of Java web applications is currently supported within DMDC on the following platforms:
* Oracle 10G R2 Application Server (UNIX OS)
* Oracle 10G R3 Application Server (Linux OS)
* Oracle 11G Application Server (Linux OS)
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent and a minimum of 3 years direct technical experience is required.
Additional Requirements
- Ability to successfully complete the CGI Background Investigation to include; 50 State Criminal, Education and Employment; Additionally, your ability to successfully complete a Credit and/or Driving Records Checks may be conducted if required by the contract for continued employment.
- Ability to successfully complete a Government Agency Background Investigation/Security Clearance; US Citizenship is required.
- Ability to successfully complete drug testing based on contract requirements.
- Java, JSP Web development and MySQL database experience.
- Portals knowledge.
- Document repository expertise.
- Remote database using the web interfacing experience.
- Rapid Application Development experience.
- Problem solving skills to serve as a troubleshooter on complex network problems.
- Strong administrative and organizational skills.
- Ability to analyze costs and benefits of potential network solutions and effectively communicate recommendations to Government leadership.
- Highly professional manner in working with customers in person, on the phone, and via email.
- Ability to establish working relations at all organizational levels.
- Demonstrate ability to diplomatically and effectively deal with Government officials and program office stakeholders.
- Self motivator with ability to work as part of a team or independently with little supervision or direction.
- Professional oral and written presentation skills.
- Attention to detail and effective problem-solving skills.
