*PHP Developer Needed*

Our client is the world’s most popular and authoritative source for movie, TV and celebrity content. This consumer site is the #1 movie website in the world, and both website and mobile platforms are top 30 properties across all content verticals. We sit at the intersection of the high-tech, entertainment, and media industries inside the world’s most innovative and consumer-centric company.

Currently this company is seeking a PHP Developer with experience building and understanding PHP web apps with an Oracle SQL Back End to join the team. The candidate for this position is expected to be able to learn and then master an existing PHP/SQL application, and will be in charge of improving its stability and reliability.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years practical experience in PHP5-based page, architecture, application, and systems design
  • Experience with MySQL 5/InnoDB including complex selects, inserts, and updates with joins
  • Experience working with Oracle stored procedures
  • Experience identifying and fixing malformed SQL queries, including via examination of query logs
  • Experience working with Legacy code bases

Preferred Qualifications

  • BS in Computer Science
  • Experience with Agile methodologies

This contract position is expected to be 6 months in duration.
