As the authority of Americas Channel Sales intelligence, the Senior Business Operations Analyst will use his or her superior communication, data analytics, and multi-tasking skills to drive the understanding of performance, risk and opportunities across all our stakeholders, as well as partner with senior leadership to help enable and influence informed decision making. The Senior Business Operations Analyst will have the opportunity to be a part of a team that plays an integral role in shaping Akamai's operational channel sales strategy.

About the Team

The GSSM Channel Operations Team assists in managing all operational aspects of Akamai's Global Channels Sales Organization. From reporting and analysing key performance metrics, to developing processes within the organization to drive efficiency gains, the Channel Operations team is responsible for both general business management and overall business intelligence. The Team partners with corporate and Channel Sales leadership, enabling and influencing key decision making through extensive data backed analysis.

Responsibilities:

Stakeholder Partnering
- Become an expert on the Americas Channel Sales ecosystem - its people, Channel Partners, and core metrics - through the ongoing analysis and discovery of revenue productivity performance metrics.
- Partner with Senior Leadership and Channel management to enable and influence informed decision making on the overall Channel Strategy.
- Present financial modelling and analysis to drive critical business decisions.
- Identify and promote successes and recognition in the Sales organization.

Forecasting & Reporting
- Provide deep and timely reporting, including creation of ad hoc and reoccurring management reports.
- Host weekly forecast calls and roll up 30/60/90 day forecast and pipeline summaries to management.
- Source, analyze, and present sales analytics for weekly/monthly/quarterly business reviews.
- Utilize CRM systems such as Oracle Business Intelligence & SalesForce.com for creating and consuming reporting.

Budget, Plans and Compensation
- Establish annual quota setting and compensation plan development.
- Identify and recommend enhancements to compensation plans and go to market strategy.
- Serve as the Americas Channels representative for various Global Partner transformation initiatives.

Training & Process
- Maintain a focus on continuous efficiency and the improvement of core projects through automation and the introduction of scalable processes.
- Create self-service tools and reporting for sales and senior leadership.
- Assist with employee and Channel Sales training initiatives.
- Project manage the development of centralized tools that Sales and Operations can use to extract data and insights for daily business management in an automated manner.

Cross functional Coordination
- Collaborate extensively with teams from Operations, Sales, Finance, & HR to solve problems and deliver results.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, or Business Administration.
- 6+ years of relevant experience, preferably in a data analysis role.

Desired Qualifications
- Experience with CRM or SFA applications.
- Demonstrated problem solving abilities with experience providing practical business insights from large, complex, and varying data sets.
- Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to present content to audiences in various levels of management.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and drive initiatives in a cross-functional team environment.
- Excellent overall PC skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel (fluency with Pivot Tables, v-lookups, sumifs and data filters).
- Ability troubleshot and problem solve both independent and collaboratively.
- "Self-starter" personality with ability to self-motivate in fast paced environment.
- Channel sales operations experience within a reoccurring revenue business model preferred.
- SalesForce.com and Oracle Business Intelligence report-building experience.
- Project and budget management skills.
- Strong written, oral and interpersonal skills.
- Strong presentation skills.
