Junior Java Support Analyst - Permanent

Yoh has a full time, direct hire opportunity for a Junior Java Support Analyst to join a team of developers with our client in Carmel, IN.

Job Responsibilities:
- Perform bug fixes and enhancements.
- Solve problems with programs and be able to assess codes for errors.
- Participate in the IT on-call rotation.
- Provide support for operations applications by defining, coordinating and implementing business, technical, and functional requirements using specialized software tools.
- Maintain custom in-house applications.
- Evaluate, recommend and integrate new technology and tools.
- Monitor, maintain and customize existing applications ensuring maximum performance.
- Perform administrative functions following standardized control practices.
- Examine existing routine data within area of responsibility in which results are predictable.
- Evaluate low risk problems to identify solutions or alternative outcomes.
- Use basic analytical techniques like critical thinking to objectively analyze a situation, evaluate the pros, cons, and implications of a course of action.
- Apply analysis of issues or situations to accomplish daily work or to recommend courses of action in order for others to make decisions on matters that affect the team.

Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field required.
- Recent college graduates with a focus in Java are preferred.
- One year maintenance and support of production grade software is preferred.
- One year software development and testing experience is preferred.
- Experience in the management of applications including development, design, and support of production grade software is preferred.
- Basic administrative skills on a variety of computer platforms (Windows, Solaris).
