Security Operations Center Analyst

SRC is seeking a network security operations center (SOC) analyst for opportunities that will serve as a part of a security operations center team in Chandler, Az.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to

- Familiarity with security operations, incident response technologies and methodologies, signatures, tactics, techniques and procedures
- Perform front line, Tier 1 triage, routing and tracking of a variety of security related inquiries, incidents and other issues
- Review security events generated by a variety of network and/or host based security appliances (Firewalls, NIDS, HIDS, Event logs, etc.) and determine correct remediation actions and escalation paths
- Coordinate and liaise with other U.S. government departments and agencies with information regarding intrusion events, security incidents, and other threat indications and warning information
- Demonstrate the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and formulate response/recommendation to customer and fellow team members in a fast paced environment
- Demonstrate both technical acumen and critical thinking abilities

Position Requirements

- Associate's degree and two or more years of experience, or comparable industry recognized certifications (CISSP, GCIH, GCIA, GIAC) relevant to information systems security, or experience in lieu of degree
- Ability to interact and follow-through with team security engineers, analysts and information technology management staff
- Past experience with or current understanding of government intelligence processes and systems extremely beneficial
- Direct experience in security operations center, network event analysis, threat analysis, intelligence analysis is strongly desired, but not required
- Knowledge/Experience with ISS Proventia, SiteProtector IDS, CISCO PIX, Mcafee ePolicy Orchestrator, Juniper Netscreen, Checkpoint firewall, Tenable Security Center, BigFix and EnCase Enterprise is desired, but not required

Security Requirements

An active Secret security clearance and current investigation are required.
