Access Developer

Yoh has a direct hire opportunity for an Access Developer to join our client in Charlotte, NC.

Job Responsibilities:

- Develop in a rapid application development environment using Agile/Iterative software development technologies.
- Work under the direction of the Development manager and/or Project Manager.
- Work individually or as part of a team responsible for improving existing applications and/or new application development to meet the changing needs of our client's business.
- Application design, development, coding for enhancements and fixes, testing, and performance tuning.
- Demonstrate competency developing applications with Microsoft Access, SharePoint, SQL, and Visual Studio.

Job Qualifications:

- Advanced programming in MS Access 2007-2013
- Class Libraries
- Advanced Form Controls (events, split forms)
- Making use of Access's built in features for rapid development
- Experience in the following:

- ADO
- Advanced VB 6.0/VBA
- Intermediate/Advanced SQL
- SharePoint 2010 and (Optional) Intermediate SharePoint Designer

- Comfortable working in Agile/Iterative Environment
- Base your development around Requirements and Test Cases. Actively engage analysts and users when requirements clarification is needed or to facilitate sign off on test cases.
- Attend a daily scrum meeting to resolve blocks and report progress.
- Occasionally, "drop everything" and work to resolve fire drills and regulatory inquiries by doing ad-hoc queries and problem solving.
- Thorough understanding of the concepts of relational database design
- Understand of object-oriented design and analysis
- Translate business requirements into a solution and analyze tradeoffs between effort and return on value. Socialize these tradeoffs with the project team.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills that both technical and non-technical end users can understand. Especially pertains to emails. Well organized and concise email communications is a "must have".
- Demonstrated ability to create positive professional business relationships.
- Experience with financial services industry is a plus
