Responsibilities

The IT Project Manager will manage a portfolio of projects with a focus on coordination and standardization across initiatives to deliver holistic solutions.
- Communicate and apply project methodology, templates and processes
- Develop integrated IT project plan to establish, monitor, manage and report key milestones and deliverables
- Define Roles & Responsibilities and allocate project IT resources to optimize capacity/delivery
- Confirm appropriate signatories across organization have been identified and ensure timely signoff of work products as needed
- Support the triage and resolution of critical project issues throughout the project phases
- Escalate issues to appropriate for resolution and disseminate to project teams for appropriate action
- Rigorously manage scope change implications and facilitate change controls
- Identify and manage any impact to the quarterly release strategy
- Publish and communicate periodic project status reports
- Coordinate the day-to-day IT operations and activities to ensure IT readiness for implementation
- Establish collaborative partnership to assess and recommend optimal business and technical solution

Qualifications

- 5+ years' experience managing medium to large technical projects
- 3+ years' experience managing remote staff and supervision of on-site staff, employees and contractors
- Familiarity with PMI project management discipline and system development life cycle methodology
- Knowledge of current healthcare issues including EHR (electronic health records), meaningful use, accountable care, revenue cycle, ICD 10 as well as general Federal and commercial healthcare industry knowledge
- Experience in conducting design meetings and developing Level of Effort (LOE) estimates based on documented business requirements
- Creative thinking to assess user requirements, identify omissions and gaps, and design optimal solution
- Delivery experience in strategic planning, systems development, systems integration, application management, architecture and infrastructure support for IT solutions
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university

Preferred Skills

- PMP certification
- Demonstrated track record of successful ability to manage large and complex consulting engagements; including a role in managing and interfacing with senior level client executives
- Ability to establish immediate credibility with clients and within the company; can build consensus and achieve goals through influence
- Working knowledge of health IT interoperability standards (IHE, HL7, etc.)
- Excellent interpersonal/communication skills
