Java Developer

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a Java Developer to join our client in the Chesterfield, Missouri area.

Job Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain and support applications
Interface with various teams to provide solutions
- Design, develop, document, test and deploy code in a multi-tiered environment
- Work with business analysts in gathering requirements
- Develop working prototypes and mockups based on business requirements
- Collaborate with developers in other teams in integrating the portal software
- Propose system requirements
- Initiate new technologies, ideas and architecture for building high performance websites
- Provide engineering support for the portal software

Job Qualifications
- B.S. in Computr Science (or equivalent field).
- Eight to ten (8-10) years experience in designing, developing and testing Object Oriented applications in Java with considerable experience in full life cycle development.
- Minimum three (3) years experience in web development using JSP, Java Servlets, SQL, AJAX
- One to two (1-2) years experience developing UI applications using Flex, GWT
- Knowledge of various Java libraries
- Knowledge of generating dynamic PDF and Excel documents
- Advanced proficiency in developing HTML, CSS, JavaScript, HTML forms and complex tables, XML and XSLT
- Working knowledge of Tomcat or other web Servers
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience with formal software development practices
- Experience with HTML5, GWT, Flex
- Experience developing mobile/tablet applications
- Experience with dynamic charting packages & reporting packages
- Experience in building web portals

Preferred Job Skills/Experience/Knowledge:
- MS is a plus.
- Knowledge of packages such as Adobe Photoshop is a plus
- Knowledge of network protocols is a plus
- Knowledge of hosting business and cloud technologies is a plus
