Resource 1 is in need of an Application Support Analyst for a contract in Chicago, IL. The successful candidate will join the Chicago Support Team and will cover a 1st shift rotation. They will work closely with customers, business users, and team members to resolve application problems. Individual will reactively investigate problems, diagnose and resolve, participate in post mortem activities for breaks in system availability and carry out root cause analysis. Individual will also be responsible for carrying out problem analysis to identify recurring problems, insuring applications are available based on SLA's and current timelines, and documenting procedures and workarounds as needed. The following outlines the day to day responsibilities, along with typical issues supported:
- Trader enquiries (connectivity/order entry/execution/latency...)
- File transfer failures and timing issues (billing, regulatory, EOD trade files )
- Reporting issues (check integrity of data/re-run reports)
- Capture and analyze trade data/market data
- Clearing (proactive checks/data analysis and reconciliation/data manipulation)
- FMA testing (produce documents/perform testing)
- Start-up/shut-down of systems
- Application failover
- Implement change requests for application configuration and QA
- Perform contract listings/de-listings upon request of the Business
