As a Supervisor in the Supply Chain - Performance Improvement consulting team at McGladrey, you will be responsible for:
- Working with our clients on supply chain performance improvement projects
- Planning and assessments of supply chain operational effectiveness
- Business process, organizational, and financial analytics
- Business process reengineering and implementation of performance improvement tactics and systems to monitor results
- Manufacturing and product costing assessments
- Working with clients to develop and execute supply chain strategies and tools
- Project management
- Process improvement utilizing Lean and Six Sigma tools
- Business development, networking, proposals, and managing client relationships
- Potentially acting as a performance advisor and mentor for assigned staff.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (IE or ME), Supply Chain, or Operations Management
- Minimum 4+ year's prior experience working with mid-market companies to improve supply chain functions' performance and profitability
- In addition, three or more (3+) years experience with a major consulting organization performing supply chain improvement projects
- Experience supervising staff (client and professional service firm)
- Experience working with middle market or large companies
- Excellent verbal and written communication, project management, and organization skills.
- Strong financial and business acumen.
- Client service and relationship building skills
- Solid critical thinking skills including the ability to identify process improvement opportunities and solve problems.
- Must be a team player; demonstrate attention to detail and problem solving skills; able to work independently.
- Willingness and ability to travel 50%+
- Based in the Chicago or Milwaukee area.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA, and/or APICS Certifications (CPIM, CSCP)
- Project Management Certification (PMP)
- Lean, six sigma trained
- Cost management experience
- Experience working in Supply Chain functions
