As the Business Intelligence organization strives to deliver sustainable competitive advantage from GECA data assets, there is a strong need to develop knowledge around the various data sets and business processes that they support. This role will develop deep domain expertise of the data and processes that enable key functions such as Risk, Sales, Finance, and Marketing across GECA, as well as the underlying businesses (HFS, Fleet, EF, CDF, etc.). Essential Responsibilities: The role will be responsible for performing data analysis in support of ad-hoc needs and BI projects.

Support prototype development and deliver ad-hoc analysis

Perform data analysis in support of Business Intelligence projects and operational needs, including working with applications teams to determine the impact of source system changes to the BI ecosystem.

Develop a deep understanding of the business processes and data created/used by the various functions (Risk, Commercial, Finance, etc) within GECA

Develop relationships with key business subject matter experts

Designs, implements and maintains the application-specific blueprints, life-cycle plans, and roadmaps.

Defines detailed functional and technical specifications required to satisfy business requirements for programs, projects, and releases.

Communicates design, functional, and technical specifications to development team.

Provides solution planning and estimating of programs and projects. Completes tasks, reporting status and work assignments in a timely fashion. Qualifications/Requirements:

Bachelors degree (or 4 years equivalent work experience) with 2+ years IT experience

Ability to perform analysis using a variety of tools (Spotfire, Business Objects, SQL, etc.) and communicate results effectively (Powerpoint, Excel, verbally, etc.) to business and project stakeholders (technical and non-technical audiences)

Strong knowledge of relational database concepts including normalization and data profiling; and the ability to write SQL and understand entity relationship diagrams

Extremely detail oriented with the ability to produce meticulous documentation

Ability to work effectively across multiple projects and ad-hoc needs

Familiarity with the data and processes that support Commercial Leasing and Lending businesses

Experience performing data analysis to support Commercial (Sales/Marketing), Risk, Finance, or Compliance projects and analysis within a Financial organization
