    Works within the framework of established operating procedures to implement security measures for the business' information assets. May provide troubleshooting and maintenance on procedures and controls necessary to ensure and protect the safety and security of all information systems assets. This role interfaces with senior GE Governance leaders and Business leaders to ensure that initiatives align with the overall Security Program's mission, meet Business and regulatory requirements. Essential Responsibilities:
    - Protects the Business from and educates staff on areas of non-compliance and security concerns by developing, implementing and maintaining GE information security strategy, policy, standards and guidelines throughout the organization.

    - Focuses on the physical protection of information systems assets, corporate information and intellectual property assets in order to prevent the intentional or inadvertent access, modification, disclosure, or destruction of those assets.

    - Partners with IT/Business Leaders to identify information security risks, classify and prioritize those risks, implement controls to reduce or eliminate risks and ensure adherence to GE Information security policies and standards.

    - Coordinates the development and maintenance of IT disaster recovery plans for critical systems, liaises with crisis management, physical security, disaster recovery and other functions to ensure information security has the appropriate level of visibility to support the business continuity plans.

    - Conducts regular audits and assessments of existing user accounts, access rights, compliant hardware and software patch levels, as well as, suppliers, acquisitions/divestitures, internal businesses, and customers to ensure information policy adherence. Coordinates investigations into potential security breaches; and documents and tests IT systems for compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley.

    - Consults with business to evaluate and develop solutions that meet the requirements of current information security policies and standards.

    - Communicates with management and end-users about security risks and the current state of security with the business.

    - Drives information security projects, initiatives and assessments to ensure timelines, budget and compliance are met.

    - Advocates for GE IT compliance initiatives and actively participates in their adoption.

    - Maintains dashboards and communicates results as appropriate across various levels of the organization Qualifications/Requirements:
    - Bachelor's Degree (or 4 years equivalent work experience) with 2+ years of experience in IT.

    - Demonstrated project management skills, particularly scope management, risk management and issue resolution.

    - Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure (Client server, Network and Operating Systems).
    - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
    - CISSP, CISA, or CISM certification preferred.
