Major Trading Firm is seeking a highly skilled and experienced SQL Developer from a trading or investment firm to develop database and Back End client tools.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement and maintain database solutions.
- Contribute to the creation of technical design based on business requirements.
- Documentation
- Automate manual processes.
Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices
- Advanced knowledge of SQL
- Experience developing and maintaining data models and data dictionaries
- Experience in the financial industry
- Knowledge of both Linux and Windows environments
- Proficiency dealing with ETL tools
- Some experience working with object-oriented languages
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple, simultaneous issues
- Experienced with any BI tool experience (eg Cognos, Microsoft OLAP/SSAS, etc.) desired
- Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent education and work experience is required
