Major Financial firm is seeking a Storage engineer with extensive Hitachi or EMC experience to provide data storage, backup/restore and disaster recovery services. 

Responsibilities:

• SAN Switch administration duties including: port allocation, de-allocation, zoning, monitoring, performance analysis, and capacity planning.
• Storage array administration duties including: storage allocation, de-allocation, LUN mapping and masking, monitoring, performance analysis and capacity planning.
• Disaster Recovery administration duties include: monitoring array based storage replication services, implementation of disaster recovery solutions, and execution.
• Ability to work with Windows, Linux and HPUX OS platforms as well as VMware virtualization technologies.
• Participate in an on call rotation to provide 24x7 coverage for the production environment.

Qualifications:

• 5 years. experience of SAN Switch Administration experience
• 5 years. experience of Storage Array Administration experience with enterprise and modular class storage arrays (Hitachi USP-V, VSP, AMS and HUS).
• 3 years. experience of backup administration experience (Netbackup and Pure-Disk/MSDP).
• 3 years. experience of disaster recovery experience with both storage based replication and tape based recovery.
• Familiar with multiple host operating systems, HBA drivers and firmware, multipath software and volume managers.
• Client will look at EMC storage admins who are willing to learn Hitachi.
