Overview:

The TTNET Technical Operations Specialist is tasked with carrying out the day-to-day tasks which are required to operate the TTNET environment and assure service delivery to its customers. The Technical Operations Specialist is responsible for responding to events, troubleshooting issues, and escalating problems. The Technical Operations Specialist must be skilled in a variety of technical disciplines including, but not limited to, server administration, operating system troubleshooting, network troubleshooting, application deployment, datacenter management, and configuration and change management.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform service checks in the TTNET environment.
  • Review audits and take action on any deficiencies reported.
  • Respond to events which impact the services TTNET offers.
  • Troubleshoot issues and escalate problems to TTNET Engineering.
  • Investigate network events and open telecommunications trouble tickets with vendors to resolve issues.
  • Coordinate and commit standard changes in approved change windows.
  • Deploy solutions developed by TTNET Engineering.
  • Configuration and delivery of equipment to customer locations.
  • Deployment and management of data center assets.
  • After-hours support/on-call response.

Requirements:

  • Experience with application deployment, support, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong network administration and troubleshooting Skills.
  • Asset management and tracking experience.
  • Experience with OS deployment and troubleshooting - Windows (Linux is a plus).
  • Good understanding of datacenter management concepts.
  • Scripting knowledge of VB, Python and PowerShell are a plus.
  • Good understanding of telecommunication concepts.
  • Telecommunications vendor trouble reporting and resolution.
  • Internet technical concepts and troubleshooting.
  • Configuration management concepts.
  • Customer relationship management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications.
  • Prior experience supporting Client Server applications and networks within the financial industry is a plus.
  • Ability to lift 30-40lbs and work overhead, for data center deployments and operations.
  • Knowledge of ITIL foundations is a plus.
  • Must have an extreme desire to learn and be a self-starter, who will proactively find the root problems.
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment in a rapidly growing company.
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule (Late Friday, weekend on-call rotation required).
  • Must be a self-starting, highly motivated, team player, and able to work under pressure.
  • Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
