Prestigious Financial Firm is in need of a Senior Web Developer. Individual must have experience with JavaScript, CSS, jQuery, and understanding of other JavaScript frameworks such as Backbone. Candidate will need excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Candidate must be independent, self-motivating, and willing to work in a fast paced environment with experience in Front End technologies and Back End development. As a member of the development team, this individual is responsible for designing and coding UI functionality.
Qualifications:
BS or MS Degree in CS, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
High level of skill with JavaScript, CSS, jQuery, and understanding of other JavaScript frameworks such as Backbone. Can read and write HTML/JS/CSS by hand, and be immersed enough in these technologies to have informed opinions about various frameworks and philosophies on how to organize and structure client-side code.
Competence in interface design, graphic design, and experience design.
Candidate can quickly construct prototypes from a provided graphic design (or better yet, without provided graphics), and can follow existing UI designs to expand into new areas.
Experience with Java/Spring Back End or similar technology, JSPs and Apache/Tomcat.
Solid understanding of web application architecture, object-oriented software and design patterns.
Flexibility to learn new technologies
Preferred Skills:
Experience with automated Front End testing, and test driven development.
Able to communicate all aspects of presentation layer development to both technical and non-technical team members.
Ability to mentor and train other Front End engineers to become strong contributors to the overall architecture of the system.
Experience with Agile development and associated tools like Jira or RTC.
