Responsibilities
Performs all tasks related to the full life-cycle development of software for internal and client use. This includes planning, analyzing requirements, designing solutions, developing code and testing software.
- Development skills must include knowledge and experience in PL/SQL, SQL. Oracle 11g development experience is required. UNIX Shell Scripting knowledge is required. Experience with Oracle Linux operating system or Exadata Servers is useful but not required.
- Provides technical support to Clients, internal and external, to answer questions, solve problems and provide guidance. The position may require carrying a pager for rotating on call support.
- Works according to approved statements of requirements and detailed specifications. Creates technical design documents, codes and unit tests all deliverables. Works with the Quality Assurance group to support their testing efforts.
- Recognizes probable interactions of other related programs with the assigned programs and is familiar with related system software and computer equipment.
- Resolves problems and deviations according to standard practices, and obtains advice where precedents are unclear or not available.
- Applies judgment in devising program logic and in selecting and adapting standard programming procedures.
- Works independently under defined objectives, priorities, and deadlines.

Qualifications
Required Skills/Experience
- 3-5 years of full life-cycle development experience.
- Strong SQL and PL/SQL programming background
- Experience with Oracle 10g and/or 11g databases
- Experience developing complex load and extract processes
