About the Opportunity
The Lead Business Systems Analyst will take the lead role (with minimal direction) in producing and managing client deliverables relative to our multi-channel marketing engagements, serving as the lead liaison between client staff and internal Epsilon technical delivery teams. The role will work closely with account team leads to ensure accurate and timely delivery of account deliverables, with a focus on leading business/systems analysis tasks across the full SDLC lifecycle of a client implementation, to include requirements, functional specifications, SIT and UAT.
Responsibilities
* Lead and coordinate the full SDLC processes and associated tasks such as requirements, functional specification and other client documentation (with minimal direction).
* Lead and coordinate System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing, and associated activities such as test plan, test cases and test execution as related to a new client implementation, or significant enhancements to an existing implementation.
* Support production staff & client end users in the use of the overall client solution with a focus on newly released client implementations.
* Act as primary SBSA client contact.
* Lead and coordinate Change Management initiatives.
* Lead and coordinate Issue Management events from identification through resolution.
* Help to develop and implement processes and methodologies.
* Mentor, coach and lead Associate BSAs and BSAs.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
* Solid understanding of Relational Database Management Systems.
* Proficient in SQL.
* Working knowledge of project management methodologies and creation of defined artifacts.
* Proficient with Business Intelligence tools (eg, Business Objects, Cognos, Microstrategy, Microsoft Reporting/Analysis Services), (Business Objects is a plus).
* Solid understanding of marketing concepts.
* Understanding of Email tools and technologies is a plus.
* Understanding of data warehouse and data mart concepts is a plus.
Should have experience in implementing, testing, and support of solutions across the full software development lifecycle, preferably in a direct marketing environment. Special emphasis is on gathering requirements, analysis and the ability to translate business requirements into functional/business specifications, creating test plans, and developing quality assurance methodologies.
Relevant experience may include some or all of the following:
* Has performed basic and specialized SBSA tasks with minimal direction or guidance (SDLC process)
* Has supported Change Management and Issue Management
* Has had experience consulting with external client contacts
* Has experience working in a service organization
* Has contributed to or authored client deliverables
* Has managed and maintained project/account documentation
* Has created operational, campaign or business reports
* Has worked with technical staff to design and implement technical solutions
* Has experience in systems development
* Has coordinated integration of new development into an existing technical solution
* Experience working within structured software life cycle and development methodologies (eg, Agile, RUP, RM-ODP, RAD) as well as rapid prototyping a plus
* Supervisory experience 1+ years a plus.
