Developer/Programmer

The Position

The role of the Information Technology function is to manage Parkwood's systems infrastructure and communications technology while providing high quality services to Parkwood and its clients. The Developer/Programmer's main responsibility will be to design, implement and maintain Information Systems. The Developer/Programmer also will provide technical consulting and assistance to all staff members, including help desk support, as well as projects involving hardware and software.

A successful candidate will be responsible for working with the Information Systems Team in the following areas:

• Develop custom database applications using T-SQL, SQL Server, VB .NET, and ASP.
• Design and create custom management reports via programming in SQL, Crystal Reports and Microsoft Excel.
• Automate and streamline business processes utilizing technology.
• Perform software implementations and upgrades.
• Create and maintain company website(s).
• Configure computers and troubleshoot software and hardware problems.

Specific Work Experience and Background Required

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/MIS
• 5-7 years' combined programming and system administration experience
• Proficiency in SQL, SQL Server, VB .NET, ASP, Crystal Reports and Excel
• Proficiency in Microsoft Windows Server, SQL Server and Exchange Server
• Microsoft programming and/or database certifications preferred
• Microsoft Dynamics SL experience preferred
• Server installation, configuration and administration experience beneficial
• Network design, implementation and administration experience beneficial

Education: Bachelors Degree
