IT Internship

The Position

The role of the Information Technology function is to manager Parkwood's systems infrastructure and communications technology while providing high quality services to Parkwood and its clients. The IT intern's main responsibility will be to assist the IT Team in designing, implementing and maintaining Information Systems. The IT Intern will also provide technical support and consulting to staff members. part time or Full time internship depending on circumstances. Potential to grow into permanent position.

A successful candidate will be responsible for working with the Information Technology Team in the following areas:

• Configure computers from base operating system up
• Install software and perform software upgrades
• Perform computer hardware installations and upgrades
• Troubleshoot hardware, printer and software problems
• Perform IT research
• Setup and breakdown audio visual equipment
• Perform video conversions and archiving
• Support programming projects including application and report development

Specific Work Experience and Background Desired

• Pursuing Bachelor's Degree or recent graduate in Computer Science, CIS or MIS
• High academic achievement
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Windows Operating Systems (Windows XP and Windows 7)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Productivity Suite
• SQL, SQL Server, Visual Studio, VB. NET, ASP.NET, and Crystal Reports beneficial
• Experience performing software and hardware installations/upgrades required
• Help desk experience preferred
