The IT Manager is responsible for directing, managing, and coordinating all IT related functions of the organization. This is a hands on position that requires proficiency in programming languages such as VB.Net, ASP, HTML, and MS SQL Server. A working knowledge of IBM AS 400 is preferred. In addition to maintaining and developing applications applicant must be capable of managing IT security, hardware, operating systems, storage, and backups. Possess a strong customer service orientation and have experience managing IT operations of selling organization and its customer facing infrastructure. Play a key role in the decision making process of the company's technological vision. Work closely with IT personnel to deliver superior technical support to the organization and its customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Direct and oversee all IT functions of company

2. Develop, implement, and enforce IT policies and procedures

3. Develop, modify, and maintain IT disaster recovery plan

4. Lead, manage, and develop department personnel

5. Primary troubleshooter for AQ & CB Issues

6. Negotiate and administer department related contracts

a. Telecommunications

b. Office equipment (printers, copiers, toner, etc.)

c. Software agreements

7. Develop, maintain, and monitor annual IT Budget

8. Primary contact for IT projects internally and those involving customers

9. Ensure all daily backups are processed and kept secure

10. Ultimately responsible for network security including restricting company access to certain websites, maintaining virus protection software, and employing other high-tech security measures to safeguard the company's information

11. Charge with overall data integrity

12. Develop and maintain company Intranet

13. Assist in setup and use of teleconferencing equipment

14. Business Process owner and lead implementer of TMK business systems; possible significant involvement & assist Corporate as required

15. Write programs/reports for any data request from internal or external customers

16. Review and evaluate new technologies as they emerge and recommend any desirable hardware and software upgrades for the business

17. Meet with department managers, supervisors, vendors, and others to solicit cooperation and resolve problems

18. Develop and utilize performance metrics of IT Department

19. Protects Company's value by keeping information confidential

20. Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities

21. Committed to growth in understanding of foodservice industry

22. Conduct oneself in a professional manner that fosters positive relationships with internal (company personnel) and external (vendors, customers) customers

23. Travel to other divisional offices as necessary

24. Due to nature of work, some evenings and weekends will be required on occasion

EDUCATION/TRAINING

Essential

  • Bachelor's Degree in IT related field

  • Master's Degree in IT related field

EXPERIENCE

Essential:

  • 5+ years progressive IT experience
  • 3+ years supervisory experience
  • Systems and application design
  • VB.Net and ASP programming language
  • Basic understanding of IBM AS400 and DB2

Preferred:

  • 3-5 Years IT Director experience in a distribution or manufacturing company
  • Supporting IT in a foodservice/distribution environment
