Mechanical Project Engineer Job #3510 Cleveland, Ohio

Compensation: $70,000 - $80,000 per year.

A well established Cleveland manufacturer of telecommunication/power utility components is seeking to add a Mechanical Project Engineer to their team. The primary responsibilities of this role will be new product design, modification of existing designs, and technical support.

Position Requirements Include:

A BSME degree or equivalent undergraduate degree

Hands-on 3D modelling/CAD skills (experience with PRO E is ideal but company will accept experience with other 3D modelling software)

A proven track record of taking projects from concept through testing to product release

Demonstrated product development experience with small metal and plastic parts (specific areas of expertise should include aluminium die cast, plastic injection molding, thermoplastic elastomers, and neoprene materials)

Good communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively with all company associates to move product development projects through to completion

Position Responsibilities Include:

Developing product parameters, specifications, and engineering drawings while approving release of all product specs

Creating product development plans (in conjunction with engineering management) including corresponding cost estimates

Working with purchasing to coordinate vendor contributions

Supporting production/quality control associates through the testing and product launch phases

Compensation: $70,000 - $80,000 per year.
