*Network Engineer Required*

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support 8:00am ET to 4:30pm ET Weekdays on-site
  • 1st and 2nd Level On-Call support of network incidents for sites and businesses supported by the client remote and local
  • Resolution or escalation of incidents as needed to Level 3 network support
  • Work directly with Telco ISPs to resolve all WAN issues
  • Technologies supported include (but not limited to):
    Cisco Routers, Switches, Firewalls, Access Points, Wireless Controllers, F5 Load balancers (LTM, GTM), Palo Alto Firewalls
  • Ability to respond to incidents 4:30 PM ET 11 PM ET on an occasional basis
  • Ability to be individually assigned entire network config/deploy projects and successfully complete them alone with minimal supervision
  • Manage, assign and close Network Service Requests and other network workflows such as IP Address request, Port Configuration Request, etc.

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Deploy/install/label physical cabling infrastructure
  • Circuit provisioning/disconnecting
  • Hardware configuration/deployment/installation/movement
  • Internal Project tasks such as device upgrades and replacements
  • Minimal travel may be required

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of networking experience in large and varied application delivery environments
  • CCNA minimum; CCNP/CCIE or equivalent level network experience with Cisco Routers, Catalyst and Nexus Switches
  • 3+ years of Cisco IOS experience
  • 3+ years of experience configuring, installing, and troubleshooting Cisco Routers and Switches
  • Networking: Switches, Routers, Servers, Cables, Racks, Firewalls, LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, UDP, VOIP, QOS EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS
  • Network troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledge of LAN/WAN networking
  • Proficiency in Cisco network devices (Routers, Switches, Firewalls, access-points)
  • Proficiency in Cisco IOS command line configuration and diagnostics
  • Knowledge of F5 network hardware
  • Knowledge of Palo Alto network hardware
  • Proficiency of Network infrastructure cabling
  • Expertise in IP Addressing, subnetting, and IP Routing
  • Proficiency in fiber-optic networking, and all Fiber Layer 1 issues
  • Skills in EIGRP and OSPF configuration and troubleshooting
  • Skills in VLAN, 802.1q, STP, QoS, Port mirroring, and Cisco VTP configuration and troubleshooting
  • Proficiency in WLAN and WAP configuration and troubleshooting
  • Firewall pinholes, load balancing, Proxy management
  • ACL config, manage, troubleshoot
  • VPN planning, config, implementation, manage, troubleshoot
  • Experience with TACACS+, RADIUS, Kerberos, CHAP, MS-CHAP, EAP
  • Experience with DMZ configuration and deployment
  • Ability to move, rack, stack hardware
  • Network RTS
  • Build/deploy network hardware
  • Cisco Router/switch/Firewall/load-balancer/access-point/Proxy/IP phone support
  • Extensive experience with Load Balancing on various platforms including Cisco CSS/CSM and F5 LTM
  • Mid level experience decoding packet captures
  • Mid level experience with Netscout Performance Manager
  • Mid level packet level troubleshooting capabilities
  • Site relocations/moves (rooftop consolidation)
  • Deploy/install/label physical cabling infrastructure
  • Network utilization reporting
  • Must be confident and energetic
  • Must be able to encounter unfamiliar technologies, application and situations, figure them out, and provide solutions
