Resource Manager

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Requires 3 to 5 years successful proven experience in resource management or project management experience within Large Information Technology Industry Environment managing resourcing for all potential and assigned projects that include design and implementation of infrastructure and application projects. This position requires effective experience as a liaison between the consulting managers and project managers for all solutions services within the Midwest and Central Ohio regions.
  • The Resource Manager requires experience ensuring project resourcing is managed in order to assure timely delivery and must communicate to appropriate project managers resourcing issues that may impact scheduled deadlines plus experience communicating and reinforcing process requirements internally and externally when requesting resources.
  • Requires experience working with project managers, consulting managers, and consultants to ensure soft and hard bookings are accurately tracked through the time system which may include updating our time system and other reporting records as needed
  • Experience managing and resolving resource booking conflicts, run weekly resource meetings and facilitate resource issues/conflict resolution with the consulting managers and provide staffing agency updates for sub-contracting work and will manage resourcing forecast spreadsheets for all business units based on input from weekly meetings and consultant feedback on schedules and will enter time for subcontractors upon receipt of invoice and approval from project managers and consulting managers.
  • Experience assisting with certification tracking and work with consulting managers on consultant availability for training and exams and experience working directly with recruitment and consulting managers to facilitate appropriate staffing across the external staffing providers based on aggregate understanding of project requirements.
  • Experience maintaining consistent knowledge of current and upcoming projects and report findings to project managers and consulting managers with resource and project funnel coordination to ensure high consultant utilization while maintaining optimal project delivery
  • Experience assisting  as needed with input into recruitment, planning, and performance management and assist recruiting director with interview schedules and work with the Management office on affirmative action
  • Experience monitoring day to day project activities and resourcing, identifying potential instances of underutilization and actively working with business unit leads to address and solve utilization issues and arrange weekly meetings with consulting managers and senior management team, to discuss all active programs and potential new business as well as to stay informed of potential issues such as resource and change control matters.
  • Experience receiving, analysing and reporting on weekly utilization statistics as well as overall services reporting to senior management with experience working with consulting managers to resource and assist in the identification and management of recruiters and facilitate initial discussions necessary to meet specific project requirements and will identify potential resourcing or process issues with resolutions to such issues where applicable
  • Experience recommending process improvements for resource management and responsible for managing overall utilization
  • Track and coordinate conference attendance and follow up action items with managers
  • Manage job description updates and work with recruiters on latest job postings
  • Coordination of OEM quality surveys for the Midwest Region
  • Create new projects
  • Assist Finance in completing monthly project billings
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications including Microsoft excel with MS Project server experience.
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills, assertive conflict-resolution and problem-solving skills, diplomatic skills for driving business forward and in obtain results.
  • Highly detail oriented and able to work autonomously, ability to manage multiple tasks and tight deadlines with confidence and ease and ability to prioritize and organize workload across multiple groups
  •  Reports internally to the PMO Manager and works with Project Manager(s) and Consulting Managers to ensure resource availability and scheduling are met and coordinates monthly billings with Finance.

EDUCATION: B.S. Degree or B.A. Degree

PREFERRED LOCATION: Preferred location is Cleveland, Ohio with potential for other assignments located in Columbus and Cincinnati, Ohio (Midwest and Central Ohio regions) 

SALARY: Open and negotiable, competitive base salary + performance-based bonus, Full Benefits package + Vision and Dental options, 401k plan offerings,  plus reimbursement for onsite client activities plus mileage reimbursement.
