Systems Administrator

Job Summary:
Manages and controls application level security by regulating system access. Maintains user accounts and access. Performs and tracks system configuration changes. Evaluates and recommends system changes and enhancements that contribute to the overall business need. Support and maintain application upgrades and patches. Provides application support and problem resolutions. Works with DBA, Desktop and Infrastructure IT teams. Assists users in facilitating application data retrieval and report generation. Performs other duties of a similar nature as may be required. On call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Practices safety precautions and safety measures at all times.

Applicants must have:

• An Associate's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Administration or a related field.
• A Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
• A computer science technical certificate with coursework and concentration in systems analysis, design and security, computer applications, database management and/or related areas of concentration is a plus.
• Five (5) years of IT experience with three (3) years of related experience in implementing or supporting IT vendors' computerized business applications which consists of application setup, tailoring of package software to meet specific business practices, process/procedure development, user account maintenance, application security, programming with high-level languages (ie, SQL), or experience with support tools such as Toad, Oracle's SQL-Developer, etc., developing/documenting user requirements, designing data views and/or working with Report Writer tools (ie, Crystal Reports, Oracle Discoverer, etc.).
• Familiarity with the concepts of relational database management systems installation, backup, recovery, etc., is a plus.
• Experience must also include instructing and/or training people of various educational and experience levels in the use of IT vendor applications and/or tools.
• Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and must be able to demonstrate those skills.
