About the Opportunity
Candidate is expected to be familiar with architecture, logical and physical design, automation, documentation, installs, Shell Scripting, PL/SQL programming, backup & recovery, monitoring, and database and query tuning. Candidate must have good analytical, verbal and written skills. Oracle 10g experience required.

Responsibilities
Full life cycle support of client's database(s). Responsible for database backups, recoveries, patches, upgrades and performance tuning. Will also be required to work with developers to design and build new structures to support future enhancements to the applications. Candidate must have good analytical, verbal and written skills. Must be willing to share 24 x 7 on call responsibilities with other team members

Qualifications
4 year degree in Computer Science or Information Technology (or equivalent experience).
Minimum of 7 years of experience working with Oracle database systems on UNIX. Oracle DBA (Full Life Cycle Support)

10g experience (RAC setup/configuration greatly preferred)

RMAN

Partitioning

PL/SQL

Good performance and tuning skill set

Shell Scripting

Preferred:

Database patching

Database Cloning

SQL Server administration skills.

Data Guard

Oracle support in .NET environment

Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux

9i or 10g OCP

Experience with Materialized Views
