The Sr. Business Systems Analyst is a hands-on position. This role is responsible for the day to day management and new project implementation of a large active client. The Sr. BSA elicits client requirements, develops and documents functional requirements documentation, develops and executes test plans and test cases, provides production level support, works closely with the PM and technical team members to help drive forward progress towards the delivery objectives established mutually with the client in the SOW . The Sr. BSA will focus on applying business/systems analysis tasks and best practices across the full SDLC lifecycle of a client implementation to include requirements, functional specifications, test plans, system integration testing, and UAT.

Job Summary

The Sr. Business Systems Analyst manages client deliverables relative to our multi-channel marketing engagements. This individual will serve as the primary liaison between the client, onsite client staff and internal Epsilon technical delivery teams. As a key member of a project team, the Sr. BSA is responsible for transforming high-level client requirements into detailed technical designs and supporting the resulting solution.

Responsibilities
* Works to discover, analyze and document client business requirements, and translating those needs into functional specifications, system and process solution designs.
* Designs and manages integration test cycles for new system enhancements including the creation of detailed test plans, test cases, and documentation of test case results. Manages and coordinates user acceptance testing.
* Coordinates closely with internal production teams and external client teams to develop and document operational processes, release notes and change management plans during roll-out of system enhancements.
* Interfaces directly with clients to assess ongoing business needs and translate those needs into systems requirements.
* Ensures high client satisfaction with change management planning, communication, execution, and service.
* Transitions final deliverables to the technical implementation team, ensuring they fully understand client requirements and details of the design and plan.
* Identifies tracks and resolves project issues, defects and risks.
* Identifies scope creep and works with Project Manager to mitigate scope creep.
* Employs consulting and systems development methodologies to guide daily activities.
* Provides one-on-one and classroom-based training on key solution components and processes.
* Shares knowledge with peers and other project teams.
* Provides level of effort estimates for related tasks.

Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree in Business or Marketing disciplines or equivalent experience is required.
* 7+ years of business analysis experience around database marketing technologies and data management, and technical understanding in these areas.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Proficient with Microsoft Visio.
* Handles any size projects with little to no assistance.
* Strong knowledge of email marketing concepts and best practices strongly preferred.
* Experience in database marketing and/or data management solutions preferred.
* Knowledge of database marketing automation technologies (eg Alterian, Unica, SAS Campaign) preferred.
* Experience with Business Intelligence technologies (eg Business Objects, MicroStrategy, Alterian, Cognos).
* Must have knowledge and experience with relational databases (Microsoft SQL and/or Oracle), including data mapping, data mining and query skills.
* Must have the ability to develop and document test plans independently.
* The aptitude to take on new tasks with minimal instruction and work well in a team environment is required.
* Ability and willingness to travel as needed.
* Ability to solve problems on the fly and work in a fast-paced, high traffic environment.
* Ability to quickly adapt to constantly changing requirements and business needs.
