About the Opportunity
Epsilon is currently seeking a strong database Developer to join our Digital Solutions team for a long term & rewarding Full time role. In this role we're looking for someone that is comfortable working with/supporting multiple databases & data driven marketing applications and solutions.

Responsibilities
* Responsible for oversight and development of data warehouse architecture, design, programming and implementation for marketing database projects
* Analyzes and defines data flow requirements
* Documents technical specifications
* Prepares and implements data verification and testing methods
* Responsible for creating re-useable processes that help implement each solution
* Works with key stakeholders to understand business requirements and expectations in order to develop appropriate product applications
* Acts as development team lead for a team consisting of both onshore and offshore resources.
* Ensure projects stay on task by acting as a liaison with project management and developers
* Stays current with latest technologies and best practices in the industry
* Development of complex extraction, transformation and load processes (ETL)
* Performance and tuning of ETL processes and preparation of business and technical documentation
* Automation and productionalization of all jobs and data flows with an eye toward error recovery and supportability
* Design of specialized data structures for the purpose of Business Intelligence and data visualization
* Maintaining a set of development standards in conjunction with team architects
* Working with project team to plan, design, develop, and implement application systems and/or enhancements to existing systems to meet current and future needs
* Conduct appropriate testing of applications to ensure quality

Qualifications
* Five to ten years of work experience in IT Applications development with at least 5 years experience specific to ETL design, data warehouse architecture, development and execution of ETL processes, requirements and standards
* Specific advanced knowledge of ETL development tools including Microsoft SSIS (preferred), Ab Initio, Informatica, Datastage, or DTS
* Familiarity with object-oriented programming methods. Visual Basic .NET, C#, or Java background preferred
* Web Development Experience a plus
* Advanced database knowledge including SQL Server and Oracle
* Relational database modeling skills
