Job description:
This individual will design, deploy, maintain, monitor and support all Virtualization related infrastructure-related activities of the organization. The Senior Virtualization Administrator must have Experience reconfiguring systems (hardware, software, file systems), work closely with other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization.

Responsibilities:
* Manage the design, deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of all Windows Servers, operating systems, hardware, software, and peripherals.
* Manage the design, deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of all Virtual Server Hosting systems.
* Benchmark, analyze, and report on the Virtualization infrastructure and systems.
* Provide end-user services escalation requiring Virtualization assistance for CIT help desk services where necessary.
* Keep current with the latest technologies.
* Practice asset management for Virtualization hardware, software, and equipment, and ensure that asset management policies are adhered to by the team.

Position Requirements:
* Strong technical knowledge of networks and Microsoft operating systems, including Windows 2008, Windows Server 2003, Windows XP, Microsoft SharePoint, OCS and SQL .
* Strong technical knowledge of Citrix XEN server, VMWare ESX, VMWare Server and Virtual Center.
* Strong technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and standards.
* Proven experience in IT infrastructure planning and development.
* Ability to supply Virtualization as a service
* In-depth knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
* Strong understanding of project managements principles.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
* Excellent interpersonal skills.
* Highly self-motivated and directed.

* Proven analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities.

Requirement for a windows system administrator:
* 6-10 years of system administration experience on MS Windows platforms
* Good understanding of MS Windows architecture and system level resources, including SMP.
* Experienced with Windows hardware and peripheral installation, maintenance and software packaging.
* Experience in Windows system administration, configuration and Scripting.
* Knowledge of IP Networks and routing protocols
* Experience with SNMP
* Experience with Citrix
* Experience with VMWare 4, 5, vOPs, vCloud and vCM

Travel required: infrequent
Work Conditions: On-call availability.
